Our Leadership Team

Ted Barr

Ted Barr | PRINCIPAL, CO-FOUNDER

Ted is a Principal and Co-Founder of Woodside Health. With more than 40 years of experience in the real estate industry, his areas of expertise include acquisitions, dispositions, sale/leasebacks, partnership structuring, foreclosure sales, short sales, due diligence, and finance. At Woodside Health, he is responsible for acquisition sourcing and plays an active role in strategic decision making for the firm direction and vision.

Ted is an entrepreneur at heart and has co-founded other real estate firms including Crescendo Commercial Realty and Allegro Realty Advisors. Ted is a real estate broker and has been directly responsible for over three billion dollars in transactions. He previously served as a Senior Manager in the Real Estate Solutions and Financial Advisory Practices with Deloitte & Touche, with an emphasis on the integration of corporate real estate, corporate finance, and capital markets.

Ted has received many industry awards, including the Office Transaction of the Year and Investment Broker of the Year Award by the Cleveland Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, and Deloitte’s National Leadership in Real Estate Award.

A graduate of Miami University, Ted holds a B.S. in Business, and is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Ohio. He holds the CCIM designation. Outside of Work, Ted enjoys spending time with his family, travel, hiking in the park, and is involved in various philanthropy efforts throughout the Northeast Ohio community.

Joe Greulich

Joe Greulich | PRINCIPAL, CO-FOUNDER

Joe is a Principal and Co-Founder of Woodside Health. With more than 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, his areas of expertise include transaction management, property operations, portfolio optimization, transaction financing, and due diligence & closing. He is responsible for leading due diligence, financing and closing activities for the Firm. In addition, Joe is responsible for leading the operational execution of property management & leasing services for the Woodside Health assets.

Separate from Woodside Health, Joe co-founded Crescendo Commercial Realty and Allegro Realty Advisors. He served as a Manager in the Real Estate Solutions practice of Deloitte & Touche, LLP. His real estate background also includes being a member of the Capital Markets and Corporate Real Estate practices of Cleveland Real Estate Partners, which was acquired by Deloitte in 1999.

Joe has received many professional awards including the Office Transaction of the Year from the Cleveland Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, and Deloitte & Touche’s National Leadership in Real Estate Award. In 2010, Joe received the Crain’s Cleveland Business “Forty under 40” award.

Joe earned his B.S. in Business Administration-Finance from The University of Akron and is a licensed real estate salesperson in the State of Ohio. Outside of Work, Joe enjoys boating and spending time with his family.

Ben Sheridan

Ben Sheridan | PRINCIPAL, CO-FOUNDER

Ben is a Principal and Co-Founder of Woodside Health. With more than 15 years of experience in the real estate industry, Ben’s areas of expertise include underwriting, equity fundraising and investor relations. He is responsible for leading the investor relations and fundraising for Woodside’s established base of private investors.

Over his career, Ben has had significant experience in real estate projects across multiple real estate sub-sectors including retail, office and residential. For instance, he co-founded Blue Durham Properties LLC, which has financed over fifty residential real estate transactions.

Previously, Ben spent fifteen years at Progressive Insurance Company. He was General Manager of several divisions, and in his last position, had profit and loss responsibility for $3 billion of insurance premium. Prior to Progressive, he was a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company and a Financial Consultant at Arthur Andersen & Company.

Ben chaired the Board of the Montefiore Housing Corporation and was the vice-chair of the Board of Directors of the Montefiore Home, both of which were leading non-profit organizations involved in senior healthcare and housing.

Ben earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University. Outside of work, Ben enjoys traveling, scuba diving, cycling, pickleball and spending time with his family.

Ben Barr

Ben Barr | Principal

Ben is a Principal and the current Managing Partner for Woodside Health. With more than 10 years of experience in the real estate industry, Ben’s areas of expertise include acquisitions, asset / portfolio management, joint venture structuring, and dispositions. He is responsible for overseeing each of the four key departments of the Firm – Acquisitions, Due Diligence & Closing, Asset Management, and Investment Management.

In addition to his role at Woodside Health, Ben is a Principal at Crescendo Commercial Realty, a real estate brokerage and property management company. Prior to his time at Woodside Health, Ben spent five years at Ernst & Young. In this role, he advised C-Suite executives at Fortune 500 Companies on best practices and strategies for their real estate holdings. During his time with Ernst & Young, Ben spent a few years working in the London, UK office and worked with clients throughout Europe.

Ben has received many professional awards including a national recognition as one of Globe Street’s Aspiring Leaders in Commercial Real Estate. He is actively involved in real estate organizations, such as Building Owners & Managements Association. He earned a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from The University of Akron and successfully passed the CPA Exam (license currently inactive). Outside of Work, Ben enjoys traveling, visiting new restaurants, and spending time with family.

Gary Butler

Andrew Morgan | Senior VP - INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT

Andrew joined Woodside in 2020 with a background in finance and entrepreneurship. His responsibilities include  investment strategy, portfolio management, and investor relations. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Penn State University, holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation, and is a veteran of the United States Army. During his spare time, Andrew can be found mountain biking, hiking, or playing guitar.

Gary Butler Woodside Health VP Asset Management

Gary Butler | VP - Asset Management

Gary joined Woodside in 2017 with a background in finance and real estate investing. During his time with Woodside, Gary has been involved with a large number of acquisitions, dispositions and refinances. His current responsibilities include leading the Asset Management activities for the Woodside Health portfolio of healthcare properties. In addition, he plays an active role in supporting transactions on both the buy and sell side.  

Gary earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Brigham Young University. He and his wife enjoy exploring the great outdoors, playing any sport (mostly pickleball!) and spending time with their 3 kids.

Max Thoman

Max Thoman | VP - ACQUISITIONS & UNDERWRITING

Max joined Woodside in 2019 and has played a key role in various aspects of the Acquisitions team. His core responsibilities include overseeing the underwriting and investment thesis development for new acquisition opportunities. Max earned a Masters degree in Economics from Cleveland State University. Outside of work, Max enjoys spending time with his wife and traveling back to the West Coast, where he’s originally from.

Jarry Yu

Jarry Yu | VP - Due Diligence & Closing

Jarry joined Woodside in 2016 with a background in Banking and Finance. In his role, Jarry’s responsibilities include leading the due diligence and closing activities for the firm. This includes sourcing and strategy for debt solutions on new acquisitions. He received his Master of Science in Finance from Case Western Reserve University, and currently holds CFA and FRM charters. During his spare time, Jarry enjoys traveling around the country with his wife, trying new foods and visiting national parks.
